Morris Engineering Group, Inc. is a consulting electrical engineering firm located in stunning Southeast Alaska. We specialize in custom designs that meet our clients’ needs utilizing the latest technologies and project specific innovation. In this way we are able to extend the life of the electrical systems, while increasing ease of operations and lowering required maintenance. Because of the unique nature of Alaska, all our employees receive on-the-job training for the position and projects they are assigned. We provide the necessary training to take someone from an understanding of the basics of electrical engineering to a place of confidence in designing the systems we specify.
Location
We serve a variety of locations from Southeast Alaska’s sub arctic rainforest to the arctic of Alaska’s North Slope. There is a lot of opportunity for travel for our engineers. The firm operates out of Alaska’s capitol city, Juneau, where you’ll find more hiking trails than roads, glaciers within walking distance, and wildlife living right next door.
Projects
At MEG, we design for a variety of projects including airports, boat harbors, utility facilities, roadways, and commercial facilities.
A list of our current jobs includes Ketchikan Herring Cove overhead to underground utility relocation, Juneau Aurora Harbor Phase III, Sitka Seawalk, ConocoPhillips’ Willow Airstrip in the arctic, Seward Cruise Ship Dock, Petersburg Pump Station 4, and more. These projects' systems range from airfield navaids to programmable logic controllers, from power distribution to indoor and outdoor lighting, etc.
