About the Role
Morris Engineering Group, Inc. is seeking an experienced AutoCAD Drafter. The position will include drafting of single line, schematics and related information for a variety of projects: boat harbors, marine facilities, airports, schools, commercial buildings, and utility facilities. Tasks will include preparing drawings based on Engineers/Designers redline mark-ups, engineering sketches, catalog cut sheets and other design documents. This position will be required to adhere to project-specific and industry standards to maintain the highest quality in drafting.
The job will start immediately. Salary will be based upon experience.
Required
High attention to detail
Must be able to work under pressure and on a deadline
Positive, can-do attitude, ready to learn, not afraid of hard work
Competence in AutoCAD
Preferred
A minimum of an Associate Degree in Drafting Technology or related degree or other formal certification
Minimum of 2 years of work experience drafting for an architectural or engineering firm

Morris Engineering Group, Inc. is a consulting electrical engineering group located in Juneau, Alaska. The group has five engineers, two AutoCAD drafter/designers, an office manager and a bookkeeper. We are growing and are looking for someone who would like to have a successful career as a Drafter in the consulting engineering field.
