About the Role
Morris Engineering Group, Inc. is seeking a PE or electrical engineer. The position will include design and construction administration for a variety of projects including boat harbors, marine facilities, airports, schools, commercial buildings, and utility facilities. Tasks will include preparing contract drawings including plans and specifications, performing site condition surveys, inspections of projects under construction, and other engineering tasks. Some travel may be a part of this position. The design work will include drafting plans using AutoCAD software and preparing specifications using Microsoft Word.
The job will start immediately. Salary will be based upon experience.
Required
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent training
Passing score on the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam
Experience in past jobs, clubs, or groups involving managing projects, leadership, communication with others, problem solving, and being a team player
Strong communication skills including technical writing
Positive, can-do attitude, ready to learn, not afraid of hard work
Preferred
One to two years experience in a similar position with a consulting firm
Competence in AutoCAD
Familiarity with Microsoft Office
Knowledge of the National Electrical Code

Morris Engineering Group, Inc. is a consulting electrical engineering group located in Juneau, Alaska. The group has five engineers, two AutoCAD drafter/designers, an office manager and a bookkeeper.
